Meeting called to order @ 7:05p.m. by Ron Kunz, President

Minutes of last mtg. approved as e-amiled to each SSHOW member.

Treasurers Report: unable to report as Treasurer, Janae Christiansen,

not in attendance.

Sect. Report: With completion of the 2004 show year, reveiw of the

show class sheets showed discrepancies in the individual classes between

who actually rode their horses and who was listed as "owner".. All

exhibitors will be strongly encouraged to review each class sheet they sign up for

next year ; reading to make sure the show sect. has correctly recorded the

rider, horses RECORDED name and registration number, etc., before signing for

that class.

Everyone agreed the SSH attendance was very good, including the halter

divisions.

Becca and Leslie reviewed the tabulation for high points for the SSHOW

high point awards banquet to be held next month.

Mike and Nance , as representatives to the UABHA, will take suggestions

back to the Utah All Breed for the 2005 show season. Qualifying

classes should be noted in every show premium book for the proper championship

class to be entered.

Ron suggested that the announcer at each horse show, as well as the

Utah Horse Expo, be given information on SSH breed, and while the classes

for SSH are in the arena , the announcer can use that time to educate the

observers as to the breed and way of judging their classes. It was

again mentioned that judging a SSH class is not a parady of judging a TWH

class.

Report of Sept. trail rides: No one to report on the Blackhawk Canyon

ride in Payson.

Ron reported on the Strawberry Narrows ride, hosted by Crayton and

Nance Walker, held the same Sat. as the one in Payson Canyon. There were 10

in attendance. Total miles=9.3.

October trail ride? Set for Oct. 2nd (Sat.). If the weather is good

we will try to go up South Willow Canyon. Ron is heading this ride.

November ride: Mike will organize it. Possibly a nice ride on Antelope

Island, as insects should not be a problem then. More next month.

Leslie rept. on progress of the Oct. awards banquet. Happy Trails and

Callisters as well as other businesses will be contacted for

donations.

Members are encouraged to bring items for the silent auction. Fleece

jackets were suggested for some of the awards. Ron suggested ordering

extra jackets wiith  SSHOW printed on the back as a fund raiser, as well.

Leslie will check on price if quanity is ordered. If anyone is interested in

helping Leslie and Becca the day of the banquet, please contact them.

It was suggested the web site needs to be updated. Mike will check

with Vicki re: cut and pasting the monthly minutes to the web site on a

monthly basis as well as other news and photos.
