Sect. rpt. given by Nance Walker:
There were 3 separate articles written up in the most recent SSHBEA magazine about our SSHOW club and activities. These included the High Point Awards
Fall Banquet; Our 2 SSHBEA Sanctioned shows that are now part of the UAB show circuit; election of 2005 officers and e-mail addresses posted, and the Utah Horse Expo in March. Everyone was encouraged to get a copy and read the publicity our local club is getting nationally.

Treasurers Rpt. given by Janae Christiansen:
Current balance= $1,353.95
Financial committments= $60.00 to be paid to UAB / show= $240.00/ yr. for
the shared expenses of the DQP's.

Need to now purchase t-shirts for our 2005 members as they ordered for their 2005 membership fee.
The yr. end high point awards banquet in the fall usually takes care of itself financially.
Sources of income to the club will now be coming from the horse nominations.
Ron gave Janae ok to purchase t-shirts as ordered on the membership forms from each member.
New members:

New members approved by unanimous votes.

Rpt. on Horse Expo: Leslie Topham
Our SSHOW location next to the MSTWHBA booth was more convenient for
those working and taking turns at both booths.
Our Sat. time slot was eliminated by the scheduling persons of the Horse Council, and required Gaye Schmid to intervene.
Input needs to be given to the Horse Council on the following:
a) way to negotiate demonstration time
b) evaluate whether or not it will be productive for the time and effort it takes to get our horses ready to exhibit.
c) the press/ media was NOT allowed to enter to give proper news coverage without frist purchasing a PASS!!!!!!

Leslie and Nance will follow up with the Utah horse council with feedback on the above.

Discussion on our SSHOW web site: Ron listed this matter on the agenda. Nance will discuss with Vicki on creating a club newsletter link update the home page!!

Current list of our trail rides

Trail Ride for April:

Ron is heading this one and schedule is for April 9th @ 10:00a.m. to see the wild mustangs. Take Dell/ Dugway exit at the abandoned truck stop. Bring lunch and watch
weather. Dress accordingly
RSVP: Ron Kunz # 558-8763
If muddy, ride will be cancelled. Horses should be shod. An RSVP is impt., so Ron knows how many to plan for.

Memorial Day trail ride:

Memorial Day Week-end trail ride overnight...Sat...Sun...Monday. Hosted by
Roy and Leslie Topham. Co-op Creek-----Strawberry. more info. on this will be forth coming from Tophams.

Discussion ensued by Ron on getting more members. He will send letter to ALL members inviting input to best serve needs of our members.
