Treasurer Report:  $621.00
 
New Business:
Nancy Walker received the $250.00 from SSHBEA for our booth at the Horse Expo in March.  We are able to qualify for the $100.00 incentive to have our High Point Shows in Utah sanctioned with SSHBEA.  This will require our local club (SSHOW) to submit to SSHBEA a yearly request until all four of our Utah shows are sanctioned.

Nance will also check to find out why our club was not listed in the most recent SSHBEA magazine.

Nance also brought the horse portrait which Vicki and Michelle did for her.  She had some good suggestions for marketing.

It is possible that Courage Reins will either not be the main charity for the Charity Horse Show next year.  Many of their board members have resigned.  If anyone knows of a worthy charity for next year, keep this possibility in mind.

Wendy asked Nance to look into getting the Spotted Saddle Horse classes moved to more classes on Friday rather than Thursday.  Nance said she will check into it. 

Julie asked for photos for the History of the Club she is compiling.  She asked that you write the name of the horse, rider and the event and also if photo is of a show result, please note the ribbon received with each photo submitted. 

The Morgan Show which our club will participate in is in August.  This will be a fun show.  It will be held at Riverbend Farms Arena which is on approximately 13th west and 12800 South. 

Show and Award Committee:
Michelle will get the stats for the Charity Horse Show on Saturday night after the show.  The Charity Show is on June 19th, 20th and 21st. The standings will be posted on our web page.  (They are there now if anyone wishes to take a peek.)  The Charity Horse Show is a SSHBEA sanctioned show so Michelle will forward the stats to SSHEBA.

Elections:
Ron Kunz determined that according to our by-laws, there are some issues that we need to consider before elections are held, such as who is on the Board of Directors as well as the length of time for elected officials and what other offices or duties can or will be assigned.   A motion was made by Ron that appointment of certain club members to positions as required for an undetermined amount of time be considered and the by-laws amended as required.  The motion was seconded.  A copy of the original meeting minutes will be sent to Ron so that we can follow our by-laws or amend them as necessary.  Janea motioned that the appropriate members (Board members or officers per the by-laws) vote for the appointed positions.   It was seconded and approved.

Some positions being considered for appointment are:

Editor, Membership, Photographer, Historian, Shows and Awards, Ways and Means, Trails, SSHBEA liason.
