First Agenda Item - Review of Morgan/Spotted Saddle Horse Show

This was a fun show!  Riverbend, the stables where the event was held, was beautiful.  Rolling green hills and white fence lines gave the place a look right out of Tennessee.  The indoor area was huge.  The show was smooth running, everyone was friendly and clapped at each win.  It is well worth repeating next year.

Treasurer's Report - $651.00 is in our funds.

It was decided to return to sending out emails of the club's meeting minutes.

A discussion was held regarding elections.  According to the by-laws, a majority quoram of elected officers must be present to hold elections.  It was also decided that since the May 2002 minutes are lost and no one appears to have a copy of that month's minutes, that the Board of Directors consists of four members, Wendy Morgan, Nance Walker, Ron Kunz and Michelle May.  With that decided, a motion by made and seconded to hold an election for the office of Treasure.   A vote was held to release Janea from the office of Treasurer and Nance nominated Dena Weber as Treasure.  All were in favor.  Janea will meet with Dena before the next meeting to train her in her new position.  Janea will continue with her position handling membership.

It was suggested that a story or article be assigned each month to different member to be included in our history and also for possible publication.  Vicki will write a story/article regarding the Morgan/Spotted Saddle Horse show for the month of August.  Janea will also do an article on the history of the club.

The club would like to thank Janea, Val and Julie for hosting the meeting at their home.  Everyone enjoyed the barbeque, swimming and pleasant company.

Mike Morgan said that beginning in September a trail ride a month will be scheduled as long as the weather is good.  The first trail ride with be at Yellow Fork on September 20th at 10:00 am.  Bring your own lunch.

The State Fair is the next show. The dates for the fair are September 4-14, 2003.

The next meeting will be on September 15th at 7:00 pm.   Treats will be supplied by Dena Weber.

The meeting was adjorned at 9:00 pm.  We were having too much fun to quit any earlier than that.
