SSHOW meeting minutes  8/15/05
Meeting held following annual swimming and pot luck dinner at the home 
of Val & Janae Christianson

Mtg. called to order by Mike Morgan, V.P. @ 8:50 p.m.
Minutes of July, 2005 approved as published.
Secty. rpt.:  A directory of current members was suggested to have for 
the 2006 Horse expo with current members, addresses, phone and e - mail 
addresses.  Examples were passed around by Nance of the Am. Saddle 
Horse Assoc. of Utah (ASHAU) directory that was published for the 2005 yr.  
There are advertisements also printed in the roster to defray printing costs.  
Shelia offered to check into printing through Alpha Graphics.  Positive 
input was given to pursue this before the new year.

Dates were suggested for the SSHOW High Point Awards Banquet that will 
be held again this yr. at Tophams Willow Mountain stables in Lehi.  Since 
representatives for Tophams were not present, this will be discussed 
with them and the date decided and listed in the next newsletter.

Treas. Rpt.:
$180.00 sent to the UABHA for our share of NHSC fees for the UCHS & 
HFCHS Balance in acct. :  $838.00

Mike referred to the latest article about our club written up by Nance 
in SSHBEA NEWS mag.  A full column gives mention of our May trail Ride, 
and the 2 shows we now have sanctioned by SSHBEA.

August Trail Ride Rpt.: Mike Morgan
15 riders were present at the trail ride held last Sat. at South Fork 
trail head led by Dalene Collins as trailmaster.  Every rider had a great 
time as we had a sunset ride and brought our own dinner, eating by the high 
meadow grass and a full stream to listen to.  This was a great turn out!!

Rpt. on Morgan Horse Show held the first Sat. in August.  Numbers were 
few, but the Morgan Club was extremely gracious and gald to have the SSH 
there. The Morgan exhibitors were few in number, as well.

Discussion was held about the upcoming Celebration and the members of 
SSHOW that were going to exhibit, and those that would be going to watch!
