First Agenda Item - Secretary's Report - no corrections to the August Meeting.

Janea and Julie need everyone to write a story of how you got interested in Spotted Saddle Horses.

Vicki will write a story on the Morgan/Spotted Saddle Horse Show in August.

Ron led a discussion regarding elections.  He pointed out the election that was held in the August meeting was not done according to the By-Laws.  A decision to finalize our By-Laws was made.  According to the By-Laws, the Board of Directors elects the officers, the membership elects the Board of Directors.  For an election, once a year, every member of the club must receive a notice of elections.  Proxy votes can be counted.  Voting must be done at the meeting, but proxy voting can be done by a person present at the meeting.  A notice needs to be sent out 10 days prior to an election.  Ron Kunz will draw up a list of issues that need to be discussed for the next meeting regarding elections.  As a result of this discussion, Janea will continue as Treasurer until elections can be held.

Treasurer's Report - $651.00 is in our funds.

Janea sent in the renewal of our Club's incorporation papers. 

Michelle read the results of the State Fair SSHOW show.  An award ceremony will be held soon.

Janea requested more pictures for Julie to add to the history of our club.

A trail ride on the 11th of October was planned in Panquitch, but was cancelled.

Nance reported that she will find out why we have not been listed in the SSHEBA magazine.  She will send in the same list of officers to SSHEBA which Janea sent in for the incorporation renewal.   Michelle received a call from SSHEBA regarding the Charity Show.  SSHEBA wanted to know if the show was sanctioned or not.  Nance said the show is sanctioned and she will call SSHEBA and find out what the confusion is.   The Spring Fling will be our next sanctioned show.  Nance will also check with SSHEBA to see if we can get money and SSHEBA promotional items for the next Horse Expo in March.

Julie won High Points inTennessee Walker Club 17 & under division and also 2nd place in the SBH for the All Breeds.  Will clarify the last statement.

It was suggested that a story or article be assigned each month to different member to be included in our history and also for possible publication.  Vicki will write a story/article regarding the Morgan/Spotted Saddle Horse show for the month of August.  Janea will also do an article on the history of the club.

The next meeting will be on October 20th at 7:00 pm at Tom Pearce's real estate office.   Treats will be supplied by Tom Pearce.
